Esther and her partner rediscovered what Australia’s tyranny of distance is all about: driving, driving and more driving.
River crossings, corrugated roads, cut-off tracks, and bogs meant most of that driving was in 4WD. In between the kilometres, though, were magic landscapes, scary wildlife encounters and enchanting people.
