#25 Bark Streamers
Mountain Ash trees are killed by fire, yet the life cycle of the tree is linked to fire. Long streamers of bark funnel fire into the canopy where the woody fruit are stimulated to open and shed their seeds. These germinate in the fertile beds of ash left by the passing fire.
